Rachel was at work, so of course I was doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen. It was around 9:00 pm, and was dark outside and inside (except in the kitchen). All of a sudden I heard a crack from the other room, like something fell. I looked around the corner, but didn't see anything. All of a sudden a heard this voice from far away say "hello". I looked around and didn't see anything or anyone. But I said, "hello", not thinking anybody was really there. But then the voice responds. It was weird.
Turns out, my phone was on vibrate. Rachel called and I didn't hear it but it vibrated off of the table. That was the crack I heard. It fell off of the table onto the hard floor. When it fell it opened up, so it answered her call. Plus, by speaker phone was on. So when she said hello it was loud enough for me to easily hear it. So it turned out to not be a ghost. That's good news.

my next posting

I tried to take my own picture of the lake. Tried to copy that other picture that I posted. But these two nerds got in the way.
We're enjoying it here in Sandpoint. We live just north of town. We're next door to the county fairgrounds, which is next door to the county jail, which is next door to the Arian Nation church.
We hooked ourselves up with free bikes. Left over police-auction bikes. I've been riding to and from Walmart about everyday.
Our ward is having a 4th of July breakfast tomorrow. The catch is that it is at 7:00 am. No, that's not a typo. I was sure they were kidding when they announced that. But turns out it is true.

The point in the sand

Greetings, it's been many years since the last entry. If you have checked this your diligence will be rewarded. Not be me, or by being able to read a cool entry. Sorry. But I'm sure down the road somewhere it will be rewarded.
Rachel and I are in Sandpoint for the summer. It's got a big hunkin lake. As you can see I posted a little picture. That bridge you see there takes us to and from Moscow. It's lake Pend O'Reille, pronounced Ponderay, and it's the shiz.
We spent a week camping. Word of advice for you kids out there. If you get married you need a place to move into. Good thing we had a big tent.
We live in a place that looks like a barn. The birds are really scary. The big geese live in the pond in front of the apartments. They try to intimidate us. Two of them do so by raising their heads real high, the third goose lowers his head and walks toward us. And do you know what I'm doing while there doing this? I just sort of slip off to the side, and then run real fast to my car. Rachel takes a tennis racquet with her to the car.
Plus, not just the geese are freaky, but the little birds are too. Every time you walk to the car they swirl real low over your head. They seem to take particular issue with you if you try to make it all the way to the dumpster.
In conclusion, it took me a million tries to remember what Rachel's crazy password is for this site.

Since I am too busy to think of anything cool, funny, or meaningful to say I would like to lend an excerpt from my journal.
Enjoy.
1 November 2004
I have this sick, almost compulsive habit where I take the keyboard, and hit it against the table as to loosen any loose dust, hair, or disease from under the key tabs. I started it a few weeks ago and have unintentionally kept doing it every since. This just means that every time I sit down at a computer the people near me hear a big thump. And that’s it. They hear a big thump. I bet they wonder for a nano second, “what was that?” And that’s pretty cool. Its like I sit down and say, “I’m here! And I have a compulsive disorder! Embrace me!”

3 WEEKS
Holy crap a rhino. I am soooooooooooo elated. Three weeks from today I will be a big white monster tying Brett to the metaphorical post I call "marriage." Wow, thats the worst introduction I have ever created.
Anyways, I'm so excited I don't really care if I make sense.
i do care if people are advertising on my comment blogs- seriously not allowed.
And on that note, no more anonymous comments. At least make up a name, like "Pirate Joe" or "Rachel fan Club 6000"
Seriously people, if we are not comfortable enough with each other we shouldnt even be here. We should be in an AOL chat room with made up names, talking smack to one another, and lying about our ages. I dont think thats the kind of people we really are.
Anyways, THREE WEEKS.
ALSO! If you read this blog, chances are you are invited to the Wedding. Most all invitations have been sent out, probably yours. So if you dont have one you need to email me. Because the Groom and I are a little nervous about not having got all the names. Or if you didnt get a complete announcement, i.e. there was no picture, it was a blank card, or there was nothing but where we are registered inside- let me know. Its not a sign of malice, only that I am really scatterbrained.
That is all.
