Some days you bake bread and quilt. Other days you hope Child Protective Services doesn't knock on your door and you consider signing up for anger management courses. For last week, the latter was true.
Brett worked nights. Not a big deal. We still got to see him. However, to Marie it meant complete insanity.
It's obvious she's a daddy's girl. He sleds, he takes us fun places, and he's always good for a laugh. But last week it was like Marie went off the wall without him home from the usual 6pm-bedtime. I couldn't figure it out. It's not like I had the baby. She wasn't really sick. At one point my friend suggested that maybe her molars were coming in. But it was the night Brett finally came home for the evening she had a tantrum from 1 am to 4 am. It was like I had a colicky newborn. If Brett wasn't there I think I would have sewed myself a strait-jacket... and a toddler sized one too.
But things are back to normal magically. She is back to her normal "drama-goose" self, minus the infant colickyness.
Welcome Back Marie.

It's so hard to have days like that. My kids are always worse when Nate works nights. It's just something to do with Daddy not being there. And how we are without them doesn't add to the situation at all. :) I've learned a trick. I play my MOTAB choir cd's and it helps.
I think you are awesomely honest and I LOVE that! I also love seeing pictures of your sweet Marie. I must admit my heart melts every time I see Brett (Spacey) Millburn's face in a photo. . .it really should be against the rules to be so photogenic...I just love the boy behind the face incredibly...he is amazing too. Thinking of you all!
Mallory is such a daddy's little girl too...this will be my life in 2 years. I have no idea why your videos won't ever let me view them. It always says "This is a private video. If you have been sent this video, please make sure you accept the sender's friend request." Why in the world is this?
Cassie, the video is doing that for me too, but usually I can watch Rachel's videos. Rachel, what's the dealio? Come on now. ;)
Wow! Marie looks so grown up. When did that happen? Man, I miss you guys!
That stinks! Cee is such a daddy's girl too - which is fine by me since she likes him to do everything when he's home. She's used to him having a crazy schedule so that's good I guess. Marie is such a cutie.
I can't stop smiling whenever I hear her talk ... she is just so dang cute! She's got some moves, too, so watch out boys!
