Toilet Park

Yes, that is actually a "poo hat" and Brett is sitting in a giant toilet. A couple weeks ago we headed out to what the Americans were calling "The Toilet Park." We weren't sure what it was. I had the idea that it was an outdoor park with some sort of natural drainage that resembled a toilet bowl. Mmmm.... nope. It is a giant children's museum which in one area, has a large toilet that you can sit on, and wear a hat shaped like poop.

Marie thought this was a more flattering picture.

The facility is actually huge. Two large buildings, not to mention several outdoor parks next to them. And it's all free. Japanese love kids. They love my wallet. And I love them.
There really was a lot to see. Marie climbed a 4-story slide. You could pull yourself on a barge across a small pond. There were waterfalls. A million little discovery stations...

but for some reason we left with pictures like these.

(Yes, you stick your hands and pull out the various poops.)
Marie did not want to take part of it.
At all.
Her favorite part was looking at all these rocks near the parking lot. Rocks are great.

So I can say shame on me for making fun of the Americans who call this the toilet park. I suppose their pictures looked a little like ours.

Oh, wow, did you see the Cake Wrecks
the other day about poo? She mentioned how the Japanese are obsessed with poo (unlike all the American cakes, the one from Japan was actually supposed to look like poo) and I thought it couldn't really be that bad. But yes, apparently it is. How bizarre and awesome and disgusting all rolled into one!

I do love the picture of Marie in the giant toilet, though. That'll be a great one for the wedding montage a few years down the road, don't you think?

What a bizarre place! But how could you hear about a 'toilet park' and not go right?

Wow. I think when God gave me my sense of humor he accidentally sprinkled in some "japanese". So that explains my potty humor! Wow. That's hilarious and weird.

The whole family was gathered round the computer whilst observing Brett reaching into the nethers of some kind of plush animal derierre. Ewwwwws resounded all around! What culture!

Okay, here's the thing. You might need to get Marie some counseling, down the road, about those bad dreams she keeps having about getting flushed down the toilet. Or the dreams about the pink two headed animals. I kid, I kid, but seriously that place looks like someones bad dream come to life.

Great pictures!!:) See, we have KIDS doing all that nasty stuff for our pictures-climbing into the giant toilet, pulling stuff out of animals' bottoms....and you have Brett:) Sorry to mislead you so much about what kind of park that was-hahahaha.I am going back there again probably next year. Maybe Marie will like the poo hat better then:)
