Marie is sick this weekend.
Oh my little baby.
Of course we don't want her to be sick, but the plus side is that she enjoys being inside the house more. She will just lie in her bed and whisper to herself.
No Georgia this weekend. Just lots of nose-wiping and playing Burger Time.
The above version seems to be alot easier than the one on our "Vii." That's right we have a Vii and not a Wii. It has six Wii-like games and 111 old arcade games on it. I asked the guy selling it if it was going to break or if it had a warranty, and he laughed and said, "No, just a silly game" in his best Pakistani accent.... or his only Pakistani accent. And in my best Idaho/Valley Girl accent I said, "Ah whatever" and proceeded to buy it.
We have made it outside a little bit though. Maxwell has a great set up for little kids and young families.
She is already good at making friends.
She is big enough for this swing, I promise.
Who is that guy?
In other news, Cassie & John (my brother in law) said I could make their cake. Now if she changes her mind at any point I will not feel bad. I'm a busy mom and I have plenty of things I can do- however, if things really work out that I can make her cake, I'm pretty stoked.

I can't wait for Cassie to tell me what kind of cake she wants. I've been doing some research for her....

But something like this would be fun.
But if it turns out she wants a life sized sculpture of a black lady... I can do that.

Wait, did you guys move back to Alabama? I'm so confused!
That cake doesn't look like it's leaning to me! In fact, it looks awesome! I'm guessing since you have the life-size black lady cake you've seen www.cakewrecks.com, but if not, you really must visit. My personal favorite is the naked mowhawk baby carrot jockeys cake. Priceless.
oh just for 6 weeks, we will be back in CA in no time!
WOW I cannot believe those cakes! The black lady cake definitely has my vote. You could do that for any occasion, really. Like, out of figgy pudding, maybe...
I can't believe how darn cute little Marie is! She is so cute in her little hat! Oh, she makes me want a girl so bad. And that cake you made when we lived in Moscow is so awesome! I never did see the finished product- you did a great job! So glad you're enjoying Alabama, and even gladder that you're keeping up on your blog. Wait, is gladder even a word? I really hate it when people don't keep their blogs updated. Hello! If you're not going to keep up on your blog, then why even have one in the first place! It's my new pet peeve. Anyway, see you later, wich me luck as madam Pres!
Avery
Barry Bonds?
We missed you this weekend, but travelling with a sick baby is no fun. Just ask Ange. :) Hope Marie is feeling better.
Poor Marie! I hate illness!! I finally got to meet Cassie yesterday before we headed home. We are so excited for her and John! I had heard you made cakes, but Rachel WOW you rock!! Hopefully they will choose something like the mafia cake. I have always said there is nothing like blood and guts on your wedding day, right?
I didn't know you decorated cakes! That's so cool! How did you learn? I've been wanting to try it but I'm not sure how to start!
Ha Ha Rach i love this post! I miss you guys and little Marie, i just love her! Hope to see you before the wedding in May
Jordyn-
I didn't learn from anywhere. I just bought some pans and made a cake. Its fun to practice, and then give huge pieces of it away. Just go ahead and make on! And of course, watch lots and lots of Food Network!
I missyou to Shannon! See you in Feburary! Make sure Cassie knows what she wants for a cake. I am dying to find out what she wants!
That pic of Marie asleep is soo stinkin cute! Cee misses her. Those cakes are crazy!
