I made Brett this quilt out of old T-shirts. This man has a bigger wardrobe than me, so I got him to shed some old clothes and promised to make a quilt out of them. Take a look, maybe you gave him one of these shirts or maybe he borrowed one and never gave it back.... sorry Matt.
After dinner we invited friends over to play scrabble. We are so old. But our friends are good sports. I assumed that playing Scrabble would give me a bigger vocabulary, but I find myself spelling the same words over and over: "taxi," "cow," "OZ," and "revived." I'm still not sure if I'm allowed to use the word "Oz."
I think Brett had a good Birthday. I sure do like him.
Another, separate posting:
All I really want for Christmas is baby compliments. That is why I jumped on the chance to take Marie to UC Davis last Monday to do some "Infant Cognition Testing." It was pretty cool. They did two tests, both of which she sat on my lap and looked at a TV screen. I had to have blindfold on because they didn't want me "influencing" her "answers." I don't really understand what they were testing her on, something about patterns and upside-down happy faces. At one point they put a headband loaded with a mini camera on the end of it so they could track her eye movements.
At the end they gave me this cute T-shirt. Of course I couldn't get her to smile unless she was in the tub, hence the picture.

Rachel, that's cool that all you want for Christmas is baby compliments because I have your name. Marie is so cute. Good to have that done, too many times I procrastinate getting my present until the last second. Or does the compliment have to be on Christmas day? Plus, Brett I think you have my Disco Stu t-shirt. Plus, happy birthday. Plus, and many more on channel 4.
Wow - amazing that your baby likes the tub at such a young age! Just make sure that when she's older you warn her about wet white T-shirts.
And she is just adorable. Merry Christmas.
And your quilt is awesome. Your hubby is so lucky to have you. I never would have thought of having him get rid of those ratty old shirts with the ploy of making them into a quilt! Very nice. Even nicer that you really did it.
Happy Birthday, Brett! I think we get to see you this weekend? Not sure since Mike won't give me any info... info please?
What a great way to get rid of those shirts. Mike has a TON that drive me crazy because they take up so much space and he doesn't even wear them. His DI shirts are so precious to him. Weird boys.
I love that you were able to clean out your closet of Brett's shirts and he still has them. That reminds me of an episode of "Rules of Engagement" with Patrick Warburton. Happy Birthday Brett!
I am loving your t-shirt quilt. I think part of being in Posse is having a million ratty t-shirts. I can never get Carter to purge!
I can't get over how gorgeous Marie's eyes are! She's so beautiful
I have been putting all Jason's sentimental shirts in plastic bins to save drawer space and told him I'd make a quilt out of them someday. The only problem, I don't know how to sew. Somehow I have lost all the skills I learned back in home economics at KJH.
Marie is a freaking cutie! How did the test go?
