Marie took her first pacifier last night at 11:45 pm. Don't tell her lactation consultant. That lady would be raging mad. I was supposed to wait until ... never. The lady never wanted Marie to have a pacifier. I'm sorry, but this baby likes it.
I'm not done yet, Marie also slept in her crib for the first time the night before last. She slept 5.5 hours!
However.... last night I missed her being in my room so I made her sleep next to me in her bassinet...
BUT!!! She slept until 7 AM. She deserves a prize. Maybe more pacifiers....

Lucky! I wish Elizabeth would have taken to pacifiers. Its a great way for them to self soothe. I am still Elizabeth's comfort object.
I LOVE binkies! Larkin still isn't an addict, but I pop those suckers in her mouth all day long and they do their job most of the time. Skye is currently going through withdrawls since the "binky fairy" took hers away.
She's so pretty. Can I say that enough??
Rachel- I know like 1000 nurses who would be so proud of Elizabeth for not taking to it.
And Christen, thats what I am not looking forward to now that she's into the binki- that is having the binki fairy take it away.... oh well.. its worth it right?
What a beautiful baby! That picture is so great of Marie. It makes me want a baby of my very own--not too long and I'll get my wish! Hooray!
I'm looking forward to more "Uncool Blog..." updates and pictures!
Ha! Thats so true... I am glad to be done coveting other peoples babies and finally have my own!
She is SO beautiful! Kanyon wouldn't take a pacifier and Miranda loves hers. Even though it is tough to get rid of later it is totally worth it to have SOMETHING that will quiet them even for a moment! Plus, THEY LOVE TO SUCK! Your family is absolutely adorable!

Rachel, don't feel bad AT ALL for using a pacifier. If you are blessed with a baby that will take one, then you HAVE to use it. I remember the lactation consultant told me not to use a pacifier . . . and then a few hours later, another nurse popped one is Chloe's mouth! I was so confused about what I was "supposed" to do. Two babies later, I have learned you gotta do what you gotta do! Good luck!
She's beautiful! And I LOVE your family pictures from the post below. You guys look great!
I have a non-pacifier related question. How did you get it so your links tell you when the blogs were last updated? Seems mighty convenient in preventing excessive blog update checks. I was trying to figure out how to do it but then decided it would be faster just to ask.
Don't worry, no one who has ever had children will tell the lactation consultant on you! My theory is if they'll take the binky, for crying out loud (or to avoid crying out loud) give them the binky!!!
Maybe I spoke to soon about the pacifier... she only takes it sometimes now (not that I am shoving them down her throat every second) I think she was just humoring me because I was tired.
The new links are a feature of blogger. Go to Layout- then "add a gadget" then "Blog List" on there you will find the option to list blogs by whose is last updated.
Technology is beautiful...
