Our lame fish died. I think he costs us about a dollar a day. I think we murdered it by feeding it too much. But that is just a guess. He will best be known for eating really loudly and sitting underneath the toy bridge. I've attached a picture of his tombstone.
In other news we had a real funeral to attend. It was for Rachel's cousin Jeff. You may remember that Rachel wrote about him on this blog a long time ago. When somebody has lived a good life, funerals are such spiritual experiences. Jeff's family was so strong and amazing.
Today Rachel and I went to the park and played catch with a baseball. Rachel did take two off the leg, possibly leaving bruises, but she caught most of them. The hard part is she tells me to throw her pop flies, but I know she's going to get smashed in the face with it. But I do as I'm told and more often than not it works out. The most impressive is how she would throw the ball a quarter mile. She almost threw it over them mountains. She's got a cannon on her.

We're sorry to hear about your cousin, Rachel. Glad you were able to make it to the funeral and be with your family.
Brett, I'm assuming you were in charge of your "baby" since it only lasted a whopping 4 days. Totally kidding. If it were me, the fish wouldn't have made it home from the store.
Thanks Christen~ :)
As far as Mr. Sprinkles I think I started off on a bad note when I left him in the car while we ate at Wingers for an hour and a half.
Maybe if Brett loved him more and watched less sports... maybe he would have survived...
my little Cipher in the snow..
I have to say that it is pure genius to have the title of the fish dying and a picture right below it of a toilet bowl. I've caught myself in the middle of the day laughing just remembering it. That's the magic of digital cameras, you can waste pictures on things like toilet bowls, where back in the day, you had to ration pictures so your roll would last 3 years, and then all the pictures sucked anyway, and it was a huge disappointment because I always thought the pictures were going to be sweet.
It makes me laugh to. Mostly because I keep thinking of how I was sitting on the couch when brett comes out of the bathroom with a camera giggling. Yes- giggling. Surely no good could come from this, but yet it did.
Happy anniversary!
